Applying science to practice can be a tricky exercise for rehabilitation professionals. The evidence often can seem like it is pointing in every different direction making if difficult to know exactly what the “evidence-based position” (not a thing) would be. Clinicians already have a full-time job working with their patients; how can we find time to stay up to date with the literature? We need to do better.
This 90-minute course gives an overview on what science is and the current flaws in our understanding regarding how to apply it. Once we agree on how it’s supposed to work, this course will provide a template of how we can all do better – as researchers, as clinicians, and even as patients ourselves. The information is presented in an entertaining and patient centered format.
