Intended Audience:

Description:
This 1.5-day live course (12 contact hours) takes you from pathophysiology, diagnostics, intervention and sport-specific return to sport development. We cut through hype to focus on diagnostic tools with real clinical utility, comprehensive profile-based evaluation (vestibular-ocular, cervical, autonomic, migraine, cognitive, anxiety/mood), and targeted progressions that bridge the clinic-to-field gap. You’ll run hands-on labs for the primary profiles including cervical spine, vestibular-ocular, along with learn sport-specific RTS batteries and see tech options with low-cost/no-equipment alternatives so you can implement everything on Monday.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain contemporary pathophysiology and why it matters for clinical decisions
- Differentiate validated tools from lower-value options and know what each measures and when to use them
- Perform a profile-based evaluation across vestibular-ocular, cervical, autonomic, migraine, cognitive/motor, and anxiety/mood domains along with other modifiers including sleep
- Build targeted progressions that layer prioritize and layer in clinical profiles for effective individualized care
- Implement sport specific return to sport assessments that enable clinicians to tailor to any sport
- Capture change with low-cost metrics and optionally augment with technology
- Communicate readiness/restrictions to athletes, coaches, and medical staff including state-dependent legal/scope considerations and when to involve physician and/or neuropsychology for clearance
